HISTORY OF BENTON COUNTY SCHOOLS CU

Benton County Schools Credit Union is an educational employee credit union for the school districts in Benton County, Oregon. BCS began operation in 1953 and is still going strong today. Our mission statement is "To provide superior services and quality products in a very personal environment". We do this by staying on the cutting edge of technology, while doing our best to call our members by name when they visit our office.

Our only additions to our membership in 50 plus years of operation has been employees of the City of Corvallis and other municipalities in Benton and Linn County, employees of Benton and Linn County, Greater Albany Public Schools, and the Linn-Benton-Lincoln ESD.

BCSCU has three offices. Our main office is located in Corvallis, and we have a branch office in Philomath and Albany. We have around 2,400 members, all of whom are served by our small staff of eight employees. We provide a diverse range of products and services to meet the needs of our members. From checking and savings to car loans and home equity loans, we provide most of the services you could find at any larger financial institution, with one crucial difference. At Benton County Schools Credit Union, serving the member always comes first.
